Riverside opens partial hospitalization addiction program

Riverside Health System recently announced the addition of a Partial Hospitalization Program, an outpatient day treatment program where patients can continue to reside in their homes while having access to a hospital-based system of addiction and behavioral health care.

This community-based approach became available on Feb. 1 at Riverside Behavioral Health Center, Hampton. It provides patients with a comfortable and structured setting to focus on optimal outcomes, such as sobriety, a release stated.

A general PHP care plan consist of six hours of daily treatment across five days each week, including weekly visits with a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner or psychiatrist, weekly individual sessions and group therapy time.
