Riverside Health System recently announced the addition of a Partial Hospitalization Program, an outpatient day treatment program where patients can continue to reside in their homes while having access to a hospital-based system of addiction and behavioral health care.

This community-based approach became available on Feb. 1 at Riverside Behavioral Health Center, Hampton. It provides patients with a comfortable and structured setting to focus on optimal outcomes, such as sobriety, a release stated.

A general PHP care plan consist of six hours of daily treatment across five days each week, including weekly visits with a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner or psychiatrist, weekly individual sessions and group therapy time.

As part of this, RBHC patients receive treatment and therapy services in addition to education and lifestyle support—all based on nationally recognized American Society of Addiction Medicine level of care. Specialists involved include addiction-spec...
