Raymond Joseph Garcia of Gloucester, Va., left his earthly home to be with his heavenly father on April 5, 2013 in Florida.

Raymond was born in New Haven, Conn., on Feb. 28, 1985. He attended school in both New Haven, Conn. and Gloucester. Raymond later joined the U.S. Navy and served for six years.

Raymond was preceded in death by his grandfather, Elmer E. Floyd and his grandmother, Santa Milagros Arroyo-Garcia.

He is survived by his wife, Vanessa Garcia; his children, Rico and Mya; his parents, Thomas and Adrienne Prince and Benjamin and Donna Garcia; grandmothers, Rosemary Floyd and Lula Mae Prince; brothers, Benjamin Garcia and his wife Jennifer and Quentin Prince; sisters, Shannon Marrow and Jessica Prince, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 6:30-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 1 p.m. in First United Baptist Church, Gloucester, Va. Following the service the family will receive family and friends in the church fellowship hall.
