Randall Cannon Hudgins of Williamsburg, Va., passed away on Monday, Jan. 10, 2022, at the age of 88. He was born Nov. 16, 1933 in Mathews County to Randall Gayle and Georgia Evelyn Cannon Hudgins.

Following graduation from Mathews High School, Randall went into the Coast Guard and was stationed on Smith Point and Windmill Point Lighthouses on the Chesapeake Bay. He was on Smith Point during Hurricane Hazel in 1954. He retired from Badische BASF Williamsburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Patty G. Hudgins, and his daughter, Debbie Abbott. He is survived by his wife, Teresa; sons, Chris and Jonathan (Cyndee); grandchildren, Lindsay Abbott (John Broyer) and Ryan Hudgins, and sister, Mary Davis (Philip).

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 18 at Williamsburg Memorial Park.

The family is grateful to Dr. John Q. Mattern and the staff of Sentara Hospice Services for their assistance during Randall’s final days.
