The 2023 Police Unity Tour made its way through Gloucester County on May 10 on its way to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C. The primary purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness of law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty. The annual event also raises funds for the memorial and its museum. This May, the tour donated $2.5 million to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, bringing the total to more than $20 million.
