Planners to hold two hearings tonight

The Gloucester Planning Commission will hold two public hearings during tonight’s virtual meeting. The meeting begins at 7 o’clock and can be viewed on the county’s meeting portal (www.gloucesterva.info/640/Meeting-Portal).

The first applicant, Strata Solar Development, LLC, is seeking a conditional use permit application to establish a utility-scale solar energy facility, Camellia Solar, at 7956 Daffodil Lane.

The property is 137.64 acres and is located in the C-2 (Bayside Conservation) zoning district, which is a residential district. If approved, this would be the first solar farm in Gloucester to be located in the C-2 zoning district.
