Paving was set to begin at noon Tuesday on Hickory Fork Road in Gloucester, and to continue daily, 6 a.m.-6 p.m., through June 7. 

The paving area is between Ark Road and Belroi Road, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation. The work will include milling existing asphalt through today, then paving and marking.

Traffic in the work zone will be directed by a flagging crew, VDOT said. After a weekend off, the work will continue June 3-7, weather permitting. ...
