Patricia Elizabeth Smith (Pinky), 62, of Richmond, Va., passed away on Jan. 24, 2022 in Mathews, Va., surrounded by her family.

A native of Mathews, Patricia was educated in the Mathews County School System. She graduated from Virginia State University in 1980. Patricia was employed in the finance department at the City of Richmond until her retirement in 2021.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Garland and Florine Smith, and her sister, Priscilla Smith.

She was an active member of Sixth Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Richmond for 15 years.

She is survived by one sister, Carmena Jones-Waters; three brothers, Michael Smith, Garland (Lucky) Smith (Marla Benson), and Mitchell Smith; one sister-in-law, Dora; and a godson, Gregory Thomas. She also leaves behind five aunts, one uncle, six nieces, seven nephews, and a host of cousins, great-nieces, -nephews, and loving friends.

A public viewing will be held on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, from 10-11 a.m. at Emmaus Baptist Church, 13974 VA Route-14, North, Va. 23128. A homegoing service will be held at 11 a.m. for the family only. Face masks are required.
