Oesterling reappointed to state aquaculture board

Michael J. Oesterling of Gloucester, executive director of the Shellfish Growers of Virginia, was reappointed to a three-year term on Virginia’s Aquaculture Advisory Board, according to a list of appointments released Friday by Gov. Ralph Northam.

The Aquaculture Advisory Board was created by action of the 1992 General Assembly for the purpose of advising the state Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services on matters relating to aquaculture. The seven-member board is appointed by the governor to represent the interest of the state’s aquaculture industry.
