Number of VDOT projects underway in Gloucester

The Virginia Department of Transportation announced a number of projects already underway, and also coming up, in Gloucester County.

On primary highways, alternating nighttime lane closures are planned on Route 17 this week, 7 p.m.-5 a.m., for milling and paving between Fields Landing Road and Coleman Bridge. Flaggers will be on hand to direct traffic, VDOT said.

Reconstructive maintenance continues daily through the summer on Guinea Road, Route 216, between Route 17 and Maryus Road. One-way alternating traffic will continue.

Secondary road projects include the following.

Mobile work on Route 1320, Timberneck Road, between Route 636 and the cul-de-sac, all week, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

Surface treatment with alternating lane closures is planned Wednesday through Friday on Route 613, South Plantation Road; Route 629, Paige Road; Route 631, Gum Fork Road; Route 648, Horse Point Road and Maundy’s Creek Road; Route 660, Eastwind Road; Route 664, Oscar Road; Route 665, Ware Point Road...
