Norman Edwin “Big Shot” Wake of Hartfield, passed Nov. 26, 2018 at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital, Gloucester.

He was born May 30, 1958 in Richmond to the late Roger and Constance Wake, and graduated from Middlesex High School in 1976.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel Ward Wake; sons, Brandon Ward (Sesley Jones) of King & Queen, Terrance Ward (Shayla Davis) of Mathews, and Malcolm Ward (Gabby Villasenor) of Phoenix, Arizona; sisters, Veretta Padilla, Audrey Wake and Lisa Jett; seven grandsons, Brandon Ward Jr., Cassidy Ward, Ryian Ward, Triston Burnette, Quimeir Watkins, Everette Ward and Carson Ward.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, at the Piankatank Ruritan Club, Hudgins. Viewing will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service. Burial will be at Grafton Baptist Church, Hartfield.
