NORMA LOUISE WHITE OTT SPALDING

Norma Louise White Ott Spalding passed away peacefully at her home in Paoli, Indiana, on Saturday, June 18, 2022. She was 80 years old.

Norma was a lifelong member of Eastern Star and a Roman Catholic, and was a business manager of an automotive sales company, a restaurant, and a furniture store. She even had her own catering business at one point.

Norma has two children, Velvet R. Kee (Michael) of Richmond, Ky., LTC (USA) Jonathan B. Ott (Bethany) of Hayes, Va., and a special child, Ketty Hernandez, a Cuban immigrant sponsored by Catholic Charities who lived with Norma from age 6-18; two grandchildren, Joshua Kee (Melissa) of Rineyville, Ky., and Holli Ison of Georgetown, Ky.; one great-grandchild, Keegan Rodgers of Georgetown, Ky.; sisters, Melody Morin (Larry) of Bedford, Ind., and Anita Myers (Lawrence) of Bedford, Ind.; brothers, J.R. White (Becky) of New Albany, Ind., Steve White (Diane) of West Baden, Ind., Frankie White (Connie) of Sellersburg, Ind., and Joe White (Rita), Paoli.

She was preceded in death by parents, Woody and Ruth White; first husband, Wilbur Boyd Ott, and second husband, Joseph Milton Spalding; infant daughter, Rebecca Ruth Ott, and a special Yorkie named “Josiah,” her faithful companion of 17 years.

A Christian Mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church in Paoli, Indiana, on Friday, June 24, 2022 at 5 p.m. with interment at Old Union Church Cemetery.
