Nancy Mayo Knight, 92, of Gloucester, passed away peacefully Aug. 14, 2017 in Williamsburg.

Formerly of Charlottesville and Gloucester County, she was preceded in death by husband, William H. Knight Sr.

She is survived by four children, Bill Knight (Diane), Judi Barnett (Jack), Ed Knight (Betsy) and Lacy Johnson (D.J.); eight grandchildren, Marie Knight Domin, David Knight, Stephanie Lacy Feeley, Kara Lacy Pendergast, James Knight, Michael Knight, Landy Johnson Pradas and Lindsey Johnson, and five great-grandchildren.

A graduate of UVA School of Nursing, Nancy worked as an RN for 10 years in Charlottesville and 20 years at Eastern State Hospital. She was an enthusiastic supporter of UVA, a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and the TJ Society.

Her greatest love was for her children and extended family. She fondly remembered her 32 years living on the York River. She will be greatly missed by her family.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
