Myrtle Horsley Ballance of Gloucester, was born Sept. 16, 1918 in Gloucester and died on April 15, 2013.

She worked professionally as a seamstress for many years while residing in Hampton.

She was predeceased by her husbands, O.B. Smith and James Ballance Sr.; her sister, Clarice Ritch; her brothers, Herbert Horsley and Allen Horsley; four nephews, and one step-son.

She is survived by her sisters, Mabel Richardson and Dorothy Sibley; her niece, Louise Klebitz (Mike); her nephews, Norman Sibley (Cathy) and Lewis Horsley (Linda); and four step-children.

Visitation was at Andrews Funeral Home from 1:30-2 p.m. Wednesday, April 17 with services following at 2 o’clock. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
