Nothing equals looking back at one’s high school yearbook and reminiscing about the memories of school days.

With that in mind, Mathews Memorial Library has completed the first phase of a joint digital project with Mathews schools and the Library of Virginia to enable access to the annuals of Mathews High School from 1940-1976. The 1969 annual from Thomas Hunter High School is part of the collection, as well.

The annuals can be seen online at https://archive.org/details/mathewsmemoriallibrary.  

Additionally, an opportunity will shortly become available to add high school annuals to the collection, said library director Bette Dillehay. The library urges individuals to bring a hard copy of an annual that is missing so that it can be added to the collection. The library is particularly anxious to include other years of Thomas Hunter High School.
