A meeting on the status of the Gwynn’s Island bridge will be held at 7 p.m. next Thursday, Oct. 4, at the Gwynn’s Island Civic League building on Old Ferry Road.
Island resident Judy Rowe said that Virginia Department of Transportation Fredericksburg District bridge engineer Annette Adams will be at the meeting.
Adams will discuss plans that have been developed to address recent problems with the bridge being stuck open on hot days, said Rowe. ...
