The due date for paying the first half of the 2018 Mathews County real estate taxes has been extended from June 5 to June 29, due to software issues, according to treasurer Wendy Stewart.
As of Tuesday morning, the bills had yet to be mailed out. “The Commissioner [of the Revenue] is having software issues that he is actively trying to resolve,” Stewart said. Changing the due date to Friday, June 29, is a one-time extension, she said. ...
