The Mathews Outdoor Club (mocva.net) has announced its lineup of activities for 2026; registration is already underway for its first event, a 5K run. The Gwynn’s Island Raw Bar Run is set for Saturday, April 4, starting and ending from Callis Wharf and featuring runs along the Piankatank River and Milford Haven. Registration opened Jan. 1, and entries are limited due to parking limitations, MOC said. The price is $30; runners can sign up through mocva.net. A post-race celebration is planned at The Hatchery at Callis Wharf, with live music and a free oyster raw bar for runners, and the food truck open for lunch (not included in the signup). For bicyclists Next up is the 27th annual Tour de Chesapeake, now sponsored by MOC, to be held Saturday, May 16. The bicycling tour features more than 100 miles of flat riding.
