SUPERVISORS: The Mathews Board of Supervisors will reconvene its March 24 meeting at 11 o’clock this morning, Thursday, April 2, in the historic courthouse in order to go into closed session to discuss legal matters regarding Hole in the Wall Waterfront Grill.
BEE CITY: The Gloucester BEE City USA Committee will meet at 5 o’clock this evening, Thursday, April 2, in the Stewart Building program room, 6382 Main Street, Gloucester.
PLANNERS: The Gloucester County Planning Commission will meet at 6:30 this evening, Thursday, April 2, in the T.C. Walker Education Center auditorium, 6099 T.C. Walker Road, Gloucester.
VIRGINIA CAMPAIGN: Dr. Patrick Hannum, author and military historian, will give a free talk on “The Virginia Campaign of 1775: Great Bridge & Removing Dunmore” at 7 o’clock tonight, Thursday, April 2, at Mathews Memorial Library, Main Street, Mathews.

FAIRFIELD FRIDAY: Fairfield Archaeology Park will offer site tours during Fairfield Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday at 5777 Fairfield Lane, Gloucester.
ROSEWELL: The Rosewell Ruins opens for the season at 10 a.m. Friday. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 5113 Old Rosewell Lane, Gloucester.
FISH FRY DINNER: The Piankatank Ruritan Club, Hudgins, will host an “all you can eat” fish fry dinner from 5-7 p.m. Friday, with take-out beginning at 4 o’clock. Dinner includes fish, hush puppies, cole slaw, baked beans, assorted pies and cakes and beverages. Hamburgers, cheeseburgers and hot dogs are available. The price is $20 for adults, $6 for children 12 and under and free for 5 and under.

EASTER BUNNY: Royal Occasions and Catering will have Breakfast with the Easter Bunny from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at 827 Ridge Road in Mathews. The cost for breakfast is $10 per person.
MONDAY
NAACP: The Gloucester Branch of the NAACP will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the Woodville Rosenwald School, 4310 George Washington Memorial Highway, Hayes. The featured speakers will be Maria Calloway, Acting County Administrator, and Deputy Administrators Regine Biggers. They will be sharing with the group about what is happening in Gloucester County government, a release stated. Following the meeting, members will have a cake to celebrate the birthday of the late Irene Morgan, known for her landmark win in the U.S. Supreme Court in 1946 outlawing segregation in interstate public transportation.
