MARY BROUGHON VINCENT

Mary Broughon Vincent passed away at home on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at the age of 88. She was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on July 8, 1933. Mary spent her life as a devoted Mormon and was a loving mother, grandma, and special GiGi. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Burlie B. Vincent; mother, Ilene Martin; father, Herbert Broughon; sister, Myrtle Smith, and son, Bobby Saunders. She is survived by her daughters, Pat (husband Skip), Lynda (significant-other Mack), Rhonda (husband Mike), and son Ronnie (wife Judy). Mary was a proud grandmother with eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Above all the grandchildren, her two special ones that brought a twinkle in her eye and a smile on her face were “her” David and “her” Marleigh. Mary loved snuggling with her dog “Minnie” and cat “Bluebell,” and spending time with loving friend Angela Jameson. She will be missed forever by those who knew and loved her.

The family received friends on Sunday, April 24th, at Andrews Funeral Home in Gloucester from 3-4 p.m. The funeral service was held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Short Lane in Gloucester at 11 a.m. on Monday the 25th, followed by a burial service in Suffolk at Western Branch Baptist Church, 6952 Old Myrtle Road, at 3 p.m.
