The Mathews Maritime Foundation invites current and prospective members to attend this year’s reception and learn about new projects and plans for 2019. The reception will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, at the Kingston Parish House on Main Street, Mathews.

The event is free to all paid members. Memberships will be available at the door. There will be refreshments and door prizes.

Those attending will be treated to presentations by the leaders of the foundation’s On the Water Club for youths 12 and over and the new Mathews Sailing Team, a Mathews High School activity.

MMF leaders will also present a video on the “M/V Mariner,” a locally built, 42-passenger cruise boat that the foundation hopes to purchase and operate.
