MARGIE ‘MARGE’ ESTELLE DAOUST

Margie “Marge” Estelle Daoust, age 88, of Gloucester, peacefully passed away on Friday, Jan. 21, 2022. Margie enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing, cooking, telling old stories, and cutting up hog meat with her friends at Twin Spring Farm. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Margie best describe her as a woman with a heart of gold and often recall her favorite phrase, “Watcha doin?” She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Daoust Sr.; first husband, James W. Hudgins Sr.; daughter, Susie P. Hudgins; parents, Pauline and James C. Bonniville; siblings, Abbit, Petty, Stanley, James, and Lucy “Doll Baby.” She is survived by her children, Margie E. Smith (Danny), James W. Hudgins Jr. (Vicky), Calvin J. Daoust (Ellen), and Tammy K. Daoust; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and siblings, Mary Ann (Buddy) and Clarence (Barbara). She will be greatly missed by all that knew her, especially by her granddaughter, Nikki and husband, Ricky Hartford, great-granddaughter Savanna, “nanny’s tadpole,” and special grandkids, Heather (Qiana), Kelly, Billy, Jacob, Brittany, and Charity; special son-in-law, Scotty Gsell; special niece, Barbara Kellum (B.B.), and special friend, Rosalie Corbin. On Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022, the family received friends at Hogg Funeral Home from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022, a graveside service conducted by Curtis Walker will be held at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery, 5490 Ware Neck Road, Gloucester.
