A funeral for Linda Cordelia Booth Burrell, 71, of Gloucester, was held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8 at LightHouse Church, Ordinary. She died Oct. 30, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine Brooks Booth and Leon Booth; her husband, Alexander Fred Burrell Jr.; siblings, Loretta Tyler and Billy Pollard; stepchildren, Dennis Catlett and Karen Billups Ford.

Mrs. Burrell was a member of Morning Glory Baptist Church, Gloucester; she was the pianist/organist for several churches in Gloucester. She graduated from T. C. Walker School and Norfolk State College, Norfolk, with a B.S. in Special Education. She began her teaching career in the Virginia Beach School System and retired in 2010 from the Gloucester County Public Schools with a total of 40 years of service.

Survivors include her sons, Dontaniel and Ketonno Burrell, a step-daughter, Tonia Waddy, and a grandson.

The service was conducted by the Rev. Bradley Holmes. Burial was held at the Morning Glory Baptist Church Cemetery.
