Santa Claus has set up a special mailbox in front of the Ware Neck office of Southern Trade Realty, Inc., and French’s Well Drilling. Now through Dec. 20, letters dropped off at the mailbox will receive a letter in return from Santa (be sure to include your return address). Also, for every letter received, Southern Trade Realty and French’s Well Drilling will donate $1 to the Gloucester and Mathews County Negative Cafeteria Fund, which will go toward paying off balances in students’ lunch accounts. “It just breaks my heart” to think that some children are given only cheese sandwiches at lunch because of an outstanding debt on their account, said Southern Trade Realty owner Shannon French, above. She and her husband—Corey French of French’s Well Drilling—decided that the cafeteria fund would be their charity of choice this year.
