Rick Ward, who currently serves as adjutant of American Legion Post 75, Gloucester, received two awards at the 3rd District meeting on Aug. 9 in Newport News. He was awarded the Eastern Region, District Commander of the Year “Vision” Award and the Department of Virginia, Eastern Region District Commander of the Year Award. The Vision Award is given for “Responsibility + Reliability = Reputation.“ This completes his two years as 3rd District Commander, in addition to his duties at Post 75. He has been named chairman for the Department of Virginia Children and Youth Committee Department of Virginia for 2020-2021. “I look forward to continuing to serve the veterans in our community and throughout the State of Virginia,” Ward said.
