Lee Roy Rachel Jr. departed this life on Nov. 26, 2021 in Cranford, N.J., after a lengthy series of dialysis treatments which led to other medical complications.

Roy was born on Feb. 6, 1941 to the late Lee Roy Rachel Sr. and Gertrude Rachel in Pineville, Louisiana.

Roy was in the military for eight years and served in Vietnam during a portion of that time. While in Newark, N.J., he was employed in several positions, which included Supervisor of Building Inspection for the city. In 1996 he moved to Gloucester, where he was employed as a technical inspector for Peninsula Heating & Air.

Roy’s memory will be cherished by his devoted wife of 55 years, Kathleen Rachel.

A private military honors ceremony will be held in the spring of next year at Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown, N.J.
