Kevin John Casey, age 42, of Gloucester County, died unexpectedly on Dec. 13, 2021.

He was born in New York City and a graduate of Gloucester High School. He loved working on cars, excelled in body work, eventually opening his own body shop in Mathews County. There wasn’t anything Kevin could not build or fix. He was a jack of all trades; an avid outdoors man who was passionate to spend time fishing or just being with his children in their kayaks. Kevin enjoyed target practicing, especially with his crossbow. He loved animals, and they loved him, rescuing many over the years. However, he loved his children and family more than life. Kevin was preceded in death by his dad and best friend, Carl F. Thompson. Survivors include his two children, Brooke and Hunter Casey; mother, Rosey Thompson; brother, Bryan Casey (Kellie); nephew, Caden; sister, Tricia Casey; nephew, Tony; nieces, Kayla and Mya; his true love, Tiffany; canine, “Ellie,’ and cat, “Big Girl.” On Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2021, the family received friends from 6-7:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home.
