Kathy Sunbeam Owens Leftwich, 66, of New Kent, Va., passed away in her sleep unexpectedly and went home to be with the Lord on July 31, 2022.

Kathy loved spending time with her husband and family; she especially loved spoiling her two grandsons. She loved the beach, sipping on a rum drink, and dancing to the twist. Kathy had an infectious laugh and would help anyone in any way she could. She truly made anyone around her feel like family.

She is survived by her loving husband of almost 48 years, Christopher Leftwich Sr.; a son, Christopher Leftwich Jr. (Danaire); two grandsons, Noah and Luke; mother, Louise Owens; three brothers, Wayne Owens, Warren “Bubba” Owens (Rosemary), Michael Owens; her only sister, Tricia Weakland (Ken); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, August 5 at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, Va. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Tributes may be posted at www.vincentfh.com.
