JULIA BLAIR GARRETT MOORE

Julia Blair Garrett Moore of Gloucester, born April 7, 1983, entered into the Lord’s presence on July 24, 2013.

Julia was a 2001 graduate of Gloucester High School and received an Associate’s Degree from Thomas Nelson Community College.

Julia was a member of Union Baptist Church where she was an active youth leader. She was an avid horse rider, in competition and vaulting. Julia was a beautiful young woman full of life, with a great personality and a kind and generous heart. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and granddaughter who gave unconditional love and will be missed so much.

She is survived by her husband, Ryan P. Moore Sr.; two sons, Ryan P. Moore Jr. and Liam Peyton Moore; her mother, Gwen Basta Thomassen and husband Paul; her father, Jim Garrett and wife Jean; brother, Tony Tillage and fiancée Kimberly Alvis; brother, Camm Garrett and wife Danielle; sister, Sara Garrett; her maternal grandparents, Stanley and Garnett Basta; paternal grandparents, Ben and Ann Garrett; father and mother-in-law, Carl and Pam Moore; and adopted grandparents of Julia, Marion and Judy Tillage, and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services conducted by the Rev. Dr. Rodney Autry and the Rev. Richard Whiteheart were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Union Baptist Church. Interment followed in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family greeted friends prior to the service on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
