Jostens Renaissance has announced that Gloucester High School counselor Joshua Coleman and his wife, GHS teacher Beth Coleman, have been selected to be two of 34 school culture and climate ambassadors in North America for the 2025-2026 school year.
Ambassadors are selected based on their understanding of culture-building strategies, the impact those strategies can make and their passion for building a community, a release stated.
As ambassadors, the Colemans will cultivate a local community of educators who believe in the power of culture and climate to support school success in areas like academic achievement, character development and educator morale.
For more than 30 years, Jostens Renaissance has provided schools with culture and climate support. Ambassadors play an important role in that community by building connections and sharing ideas with neighboring educators. The Colemans said they hope the Renaissance program can touch other schools within Gloucester County Public Schools, as well as other schools throughout the region.
“Our first-ever [Renaissance] Leadership classes earned GHS Platinum designation by Jostens last year, and we are working to repeat that success this year,” said Joshua. “We would also love to bring this framework to other GCPS schools and schools in our region. We are working with Jostens to host a regional student leadership conference at GHS on April 2 to share ideas and connect with other educators, students and schools.”
“We introduced the Renaissance framework at GHS in the fall of 2023,” said Beth, “and the results since have been exciting—increased attendance, decreased discipline referrals and the highest graduation rate in GCPS history with last year’s graduating class. We have an amazing group of students who are so invested in improving the experience at GHS for everyone.”
