Gloucester County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Anthony Vladu provided a look at the first two weeks of the 2026-2027 academic year for the Gloucester County School Board during Tuesday night’s regular monthly meeting, held in the T.C. Walker Education Center auditorium. “We have already traveled 50,785 miles in those two weeks,” said Vladu about the transportation routes. He reported that six breakdowns have occurred so far, but with very minor issues. To show the growth the district is experiencing, Vladu reported that there are 463 new elementary riders, 43 new middle school riders and 22 new high school riders for a total of 528 new riders, a little more than 10 percent of the district. The elementary schools achieved an average daily attendance of 98 percent for the first two weeks. Peasley and Page middle schools achieved 97-98 percent attendance.
