John R. “Johnny” Carmine of Hayes, died in Chesapeake, Virginia on Thursday, March 3, 2022. He was 61. Johnny was a graduate of Gloucester High School and of Radford University, majoring in accounting. He loved boating, skiing, and hunting. Johnny was handy in woodworking and metal arts and always enjoyed a good conversation. Friends and family knew him to be a bit of a jokester and enjoyed his company and sense of humor. His parents, Walden D. Carmine Sr. and Katherine Ash Carmine, and brothers, Walden D. Carmine Jr. and Robert W. Carmine preceded him in death. Survivors include siblings, Jerry Carmine (Janice), Penny Reynolds, Betsy Berger (Rob), Steve Carmine, and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service conducted by the Rev. Ray Goude Jr., was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, in Rosewell Memorial Gardens Cemetery. You are loved and will be missed by our family and friends.
