James withdraws candidacy for Gloucester BOS

County supervisor Andy James has withdrawn his candidacy for election to a third term as the Ware district representative to the Gloucester County Board of Supervisors.

James said in an email Tuesday that health issues led him to reconsider his candidacy. “My family and I have decided that it is time for me to take a step back on the political scene,” said James. 

“I wish to thank the members of the Gloucester Board of Supervisors for allowing me to be a part of their fine board. I have been a member of the BOS for eight years, and it has truly been a learning experience.

“My time on the board has been good, and I have enjoyed working with a great group of board members to accomplish a lot, and will surely miss being on the board,” he concluded.
