James Stanley Peyroux III, 78, of Natchez, Mississippi, passed away on Nov. 03, 2021 after a long and supportive fight of 20 years to defeat cancer.

Jim grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana, then served our Country in the United States Navy on the USS England (DLG-22), serving three tours of duty in Vietnam until retiring in 1969.

Jim worked for General Electric Company in New Orleans, Los Angeles and San Diego. After retiring to Gwynn’s Island, Virginia, he volunteered for Mathews County Rescue Squad earning many awards.

He was an adventurous, strong and always supportive man and will be dearly missed and fondly loved by his wife of 54 years, Carol; son, Michael; daughter, Michelle and son-in-law, Andrew Duhl; brother, Ed Peyroux and wife Bonnie.

Jim was buried with full military honors at Natchez National Cemetery at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2021.

The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life in the upcoming months as opposed to traditional services.
