Jackie R. Bareford of Gloucester, born on Feb. 16, 1942, went to heaven on July 29, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Virginia Bareford, and is survived by his wife of 59 years, Peggy; daughters, Pamela and Courtney; granddaughter, Parker; as well as his sister, Carolyn, and many nieces and nephews.

Jackie (JR) retired from civil service at L.A.F.B.

The family received friends at Petsworth Baptist Church on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022, from 11:30-12:30 p.m., with funeral services starting at 12:30 p.m. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to either the Alzheimer’s Association, alz.org or to Bible Broadcasting Network, bbn1radio.org.

Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, was in charge of arrangements.
