Isabella Anne Wheat, aged 61, of Gloucester, died on June 4, 2022 at Riverside Regional Medical Center. Isabella loved spending time near the water and being with family, but most of all, she loved being a “Grammy.” Isabella was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall Mattox Jr. and Kathleen Magee Mattox, and brothers, Thomas Ligon and Andreas Ligon. Survivors include her husband of 17 years, Douglas, and children, Tiffany Busch (Chris), Krestina Petrauskis, Heather McDevitt (Mike), Seth Wheat, Nikki Wheat (Jason), and Jeremiah Wheat. Seven grandchildren, Natalie, Jamie, Mattilyn, Shane, Alex, Mattox, Donnie; siblings, Marsha Germek (Jim) and Marshall “Buster” Mattox III; numerous nieces and nephews, and beloved cat, “Sassy,” survive Isabella as well. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 12, 2022, from 4-5:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home. The funeral service is to be held on Monday, June 13, 2022, at Bethany United Methodist Church, conducted by Pastor Art Wolz and the Rev. Paul “Moonsup” Song to begin at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. In memory of Isabella, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
