A Hayes couple is in the midst of dealing with a double tragedy.

Just a few weeks after Lisa Doyle was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer, her husband Seth received the news that he also had lung cancer, with that cancer spreading to his brain.

After struggling with bronchitis, sinus infections and pneumonia for eight months, Lisa saw a news report about the tragic story of Beth Chapman (the wife of Duane “Dog” Chapman of “Dog the Bounty Hunter” fame), who died of throat cancer in June.

Realizing that she had been experiencing some of the same symptoms as Chapman, Doyle went to the emergency room at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital.

After her ER visit, Doyle followed up with her primary care provider and insisted to her doctor that her recent health problems were more than just bronchitis.
