Gloucester’s free Fall Household Harmful Waste Collection will be held on Friday, Oct. 16 and Saturday, Oct. 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days at the Hayes convenience center on Guinea Road. Residents can bring in the following items for disposal: household cleaning products, lawn and garden chemicals, electronics, painting supplies (paints, thinners, solvents, epoxies and wood preservatives), automobile waste (such as antifreeze, brake and transmission fluids, gasoline/mixtures and batteries) and household items such as small propane canisters and grill propane tanks, drain cleaners, mercury, pool chemicals and batteries.
