Habitat for Humanity’s Gloucester ReStore will be changing locations in the new year. Following a tough 2020, the organization is hopeful that a change in scenery can help it bounce back in 2021.
The new location for the ReStore has yet to be finalized, but the move is definite, according to board president Mike Davis. Davis said the organization has already informed the current landlord that the lease on the storefront in the White Marsh Shopping Center will not be renewed in January.
The ReStore has a large inventory, and Habitat for Humanity is looking for volunteers to help with the move from its current to new location. To volunteer, call the ReStore at 804-695-9655.
Davis said that the current location of the ReStore has a lot of overhead that the organization can’t afford any longer. This year really hit the nonprofit hard, causing it to have a rough few months. Davis said it is in a better place than in July, but that it is only making enough to keep the store open.
