Gloucester Wine Festival returns Saturday

Fourteen Virginia wineries and a cidery will be coming to the gardens of Brent and Becky’s on Saturday as the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce hosts the ninth annual Gloucester Wine Festival.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with shuttle buses driving visitors to and from parking at Ware Academy.

 “The Wine Festival is a celebration of Virginia wine, and we are proud to bring this exciting event back to the beautiful gardens of Brent and Becky’s Bulbs in September this year,” chamber executive director Gloria Williams said.

This year’s festival will feature wine tastings, educational seminars, live musical entertainment from the Tidewater-based beach music band, “Soul Intent,” from 1-4 p.m. “While tasting, and strolling, attendees can enjoy shopping and browsing our unique assortment of artisans, local retailers, and fresh local fare,” Williams said.
