Gloucester teen fatally shot at Middlesex party

A Gloucester teenager was fatally shot after an altercation at a Middlesex party Saturday night. 

One adult and four juveniles are in custody and charged in connection with the shooting according to Middlesex Sheriff’s Major M.E. Sampson.

Sampson said his office received a 911 call at 11:52 p.m. Saturday to respond to 5046 General Puller Highway to a party with underage persons and the smell of marijuana. The caller stated there were also male subjects from Lancaster County who were trying to start a fight.

Moments later, Sampson said, the office received another 911 call from the same address stating that someone had been shot. Sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene and found a male, later identified as Elijah Baker, 18, of Gloucester, with a gunshot wound to his torso.

Sampson said Baker was transported to Riverside Walter Reed Hospital where he died Sunday.
