Gloucester restaurant held up by armed suspect

The Great Wall restaurant in the 6500 block of Market Drive, Gloucester, was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash on Thursday night by an armed white male who entered through the rear door around 8:50 p.m., according to Lt. Scott Little of the Gloucester Sheriff’s Office.

Little said the intruder brandished a handgun and demanded an employee open the cash register. After taking the cash, the man fled through the back door. He was described as young, possibly in his 20’s, slender and 5’10” to six feet tall.

He was wearing dark jeans, a black hoodie sweatshirt, a black hat and a black ski mask. Little said no one was injured during the robbery. Anyone with information regarding the crime is asked to call the GSO at 693-3890 or Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
