Gloucester PRT receives $10,000 WanderLove grant

Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism has received $10,000 from the Virginia Tourism Corporation Destination Marketing Organizations’ WanderLove Recovery Grant Program.

This new grant program has been made available across the commonwealth to help those that have been heavily impacted by the novel coronavirus pandemic to fund recovery marketing initiatives. A total of $866,504 in marketing grant funds was awarded to 90 Destination Marketing Organizations as part of the program.

Gloucester will use its WanderLove grant funds to promote attractions of history and outdoor recreation, create a LOVEworks sign, and showcase why Gloucester is the place “For History, For Beauty, For Fun,” a release stated.
