Gloucester delegation meets with member of royal family

A delegation featuring members of Gloucester’s government, economic development, and administration met with His Royal Highness, the Duke of Gloucester last Wednesday for a private luncheon to inform our British counterpart of the rich history of our Gloucester and the surrounding area.

From the Goodwin Room at the Williamsburg Inn, Gloucester Board of Supervisors’ member Ashley Chriscoe, County Administrator Brent Fedors, Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Gloria Williams and others  visited with Prince Richard, cousin to Queen Elizabeth, on topics ranging from county history to infrastructure and national parks.

This luncheon was set as part of a series of visits to Virginia historical sites as well as a prior engagement at the state capitol on May 22 for the symbolic presentation of the Richmonds Medal to Robert Duvall, recognizing the actor’s efforts toward scenic preservation in Virginia.
