Gloucester Clean Community gets $1,000 Green Grant

The Gloucester Clean Community has been awarded a $1,000 Green Grant from Keep Virginia Beautiful for its Bag It Up campaign. Clean Community’s Bag It Up campaign is a public outreach program that aims to mitigate the use of single-use plastic bags in the community.

The Green Grant is awarded to nonprofit, civic and service organizations that put priorities in litter prevention, recycling or community beautification. Clean Community works to promote the proper recycling and disposal of solid waste, organize group cleanups and improve the beauty of the county.
