Gloucester board meets Nov. 4

The Gloucester Board of Supervisors will meet next week on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m. in the T.C. Walker Education Center’s auditorium. Normally on Tuesdays, the meeting is being held the following day to avoid a conflict with Election Day.

The board will hold two public hearings coming from Gloucester Planning Commission proposals. The first hearing will be to consider an amendment to the subdivision ordinance as it pertains to family transfers. The second is to consider amending the same ordinance as it pertains to platting requirements.

An update will be given for the Back to Business grant program that is currently in its third round of funding. Director of Economic Development Sherry Spring will present this update, as well as another one on the current unemployment rate in Gloucester.
