GHA ‘Re-Booting’ to adapt to challenges of 2020

The Guinea Heritage Association is Re-Booting to adapt to the challenges of 2020 with innovative ways to move forward. Although all fall events have been canceled, volunteers are working behind the scenes to increase GHA’s online presence and develop safe ways to be open at Buck’s Store Museum.

There are methods for people to support the GHA and the Buck’s Store Museum, said a press release. First, visit the newly revised website (www.guineaheritage.org). Board members and Guinea Jubilee committee representatives have been working with Franktronics to update the site. The site offers virtual tours and a way for people to donate.

Next, go to the GHA Facebook. The August theme is “Boats of Guinea,” and GHA is collecting pictorial and written history on Guinea work boats. People may post pictures and share the history of the boat, its builder and owners directly to the GHA Facebook page. They may also email info@guineaheritage.org, or send mail to GHA, P.O.
