Without a Guinea Jubilee this year, the Guinea Heritage Association is trying to help fill the void of its absence. Throughout September, the GHA will be posting pictures and short stories from past jubilees on its Facebook page.

The GHA is asking the community to participate by sending in their own photos and stories. To submit photos and short stories, visit guineaheritage.org and respond on the Contact Us page, email info@guineaheritage.org or mail it to Guinea Heritage Association, P.O. Box 441, Bena Va. 23018.

BBQ fundraiserAlso, the GHA will be selling pulled pork barbecue, with pickup scheduled on Saturday, Sept. 26 at Buck’s Store Museum. BBQ will be sold by the pint/pound, for $10 a pint. Each person will be limited to five pints. All orders must be submitted in advance.
