Furnace Mountain

The Furnace Mountain Band, a group that plays music from the American Appalachian traditions, as well as original compositions, and songs penned by their favorite songwriting friends, will be the featured performers on Saturday at Flat Iron Crossroads, Gloucester. The band has performed throughout the world, from the Yangtze River in China to the banks of the Shenandoah River, where they are the host band of Watermelon Pickers’ Festival. Furnace Mountain consists of, from left, Dave Van Deventer on fiddle and vocals; Morgan Morrison on guitar, bouzouki and vocals; Aimee Curl on bass and vocals; and Danny Knicely on mandolin and fiddle. The show starts at 6:30 p.m. and doors open at 5:30. Catering this event is the Shores Bites food truck. Tickets are available for $20 online at www.flatironcrossroads.com.
