Funeral home fire

Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue personnel responded to a fire in the early morning hours Wednesday at Andrews Funeral Home on Main Street. The fire was contained to the attic and second floor of the building, which sustained smoke, water and structural damage, according to Chief J.D. Clements. GVFR responded with four engines, Tower 1 and a rescue vehicle. Abingdon Volunteer Fire and Rescue provided mutual aid with a truck and an engine. No injuries were reported.
