Frances Lee Jenkins, age 81, of Hayes, went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 2, 2021, at her residence with her family by her side after a long illness. She was born on Jan. 2, 1940, to the late Hammie Jenkins and Louise West Jenkins. Frances was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church for 56 years. She was the most kind and caring person who always put others first. This could be seen through her work as a home health caregiver which she did for 44 years. Frances was preceded in death by an infant brother. Frances is survived by her children, Debra Lynn Smith (James) and James S. Jenkins Jr. (Patryce); six grandchildren, Michelle Smith, Jason Smith, Jenny Wauhop (David), Nikki Tooley (David), Jacob Jenkins, and Jessica Jenkins (Randolph); along with great-grandchildren, Alex Smith (Rebecca), Jay Sawyer Jr., Bradley Tooley, Gabriel Wauhop and Destiny Sawyer, her sunshine that was always by her side. She is also survived by two great-great-grandchildren, Jayden Smith and Layla Smith. Dave W. Henry, her dearest friend who never left her side, and many more survive her including the father of her children, James S. Jenkins Sr. A graveside service conducted by Pastor Ralph VanNess was held on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Rosewell Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
